Low-Cal Desserts to Try This Summer

Are you feeling it? Summer 2020 is only getting hotter and hotter.

Don’t let the heat keep you locked in! If you have access to an outdoor area, now is the time to get creative with your summer.

Our personal favorite way to cool down? With some sunny (and very healthy) sweet treats by the pool.

Before you go get sunkissed, why not whip up one of these quick, low-cal, and very fun desserts?

We promise you’ll love them! 🙂

1. Greek Yogurt Popsicles

It wouldn’t be summer without popsicles!

And what better way to enjoy these than with some tart greek yogurt, rich in protein and probiotics?

This is your time to get creative! Add your favorite toppings: fruit, cookie bits, chocolate chips, nuts, or just some vanilla and honey.

Blend all your ingredients, pour into your favorite popsicle molds, and freeze for a simple treat that everyone will adore!

2. Banana Soft Serve

Looking for something even more creamy than yogurt pops? How about freezing some bananas and turning them into creamy soft serve?

It really is as simple as blending your frozen bananas with some vanilla + your favorite toppings, and you’re all set!

The options here are endless, but we recommend these tasty flavor combinations:

  • Cookies and creme: Add your favorite chocolate sandwich cookies
  • Mint chocolate: Mint leaves + mint extract + dark chocolate bits
  • Blueberry Lemon: Lemon juice + blueberry purĂ©e

3. Chia Pudding Parfaits

Chia pudding is a delicious way to get some amazing nutrients and play with your creativity in the kitchen.

There are so many ways to flavor your chia pudding, but this summer, we are obsessed with layering these with tropical fruits like kiwis, pineapples, mangos.

Trust us! This will be your go-to poolside treat.

4. Grilled Peaches

Feeling adventurous? Grilled peaches are a delicious and simple way to transforms your this juicy fruit into a gourmet treat with just a couple of minutes of grill time.

Enjoy with some freshly whipped cream, mint, and lemon juice – and you’re good to go!

Not a fan of peaches? Pineapples, apples, and pears work great in the grill as well.
