Travel Beauty Routine Essentials

If you’re heading out on an epic adventure this summer, you probably have a lot to plan! Where to go and what to do are probably at the forefront of your mind, but you also have to think about logistical things such as what to pack. If you’re traveling for longer than one day, you’ll need to bring your skincare and other beauty essentials along with you so that you can maintain your standard beauty routine and keep your skin glowing! Here are some things you can use to create your perfect travel beauty routine.

Refillable Travel Bottles

Refillable travel bottles are probably the most common travel accessory and with good reason too. They allow you to bring your favorite beauty essentials along with you on your travels. You can get basic options from many major stores or you can invest in designer options as well. The one thing every refillable travel bottle should have is a common size – they should be under 3.4 fl oz which makes them easy to take onto a plane in your carry-on. You can squeeze some of your favorite products into the travel bottles and bring them with you!

Shampoo Bar

If you’re looking for a compact solution to a hair care routine, consider shampoo and conditioner bars. You can buy them from stores like Lush or find them online. They’re usually about the size of an average bar of soap, but the great thing about shampoo bars is they can easily be cut down to a smaller size. For an effective packing solution, you can cut a shampoo bar and a conditioner bar each in half and fit them into a travel soap container.

Eye Gel

Eye gels and sheet face masks are a great portable skincare option that you can use at night or in the morning when getting ready, or you can pop them on while you’re on a plane. The recycled air in airplanes is really drying and eye gels and sheet masks are an easy and often cost-effective solution to this problem.

A Great Moisturizer with SPF

It sounds so simple, but if you could only take one beauty item with you on any kind of trip, a moisturizer with SPF should be it. Any kind of sun protection should be a daily part of your routine but it’s especially important when you’re traveling to sunny destinations. Moisturizers will also keep your skin hydrated and looking fresh and glowy.

Facial Wipes

While facial wipes aren’t a great option for everyday use due to the environmental factor, they’re a fantastic option for travel. They’re especially helpful if you’re going on a road trip or camping trip where you won’t have regular access to running water. You can get small travel packs that include ten or so wipes instead of having to purchase them in bulk.
