Best Summer Recipes to Try in 2021

Summer is the best time to try new things! Whether you’re heading out on a new adventure or trying a new delicious recipe for a fun get-together with your friends, the warmer season is the perfect time to create memories. These five recipes are some of the easiest yet most delicious recipes to try this summer. You can enjoy them separately or make them all for a dinner party or picnic. These recipes incorporate bright crisp flavors and are all made with minimal ingredients and steps, making them perfect for cooks of all skill levels.

Watermelon Salad

For a delicious and refreshing summer salad, try a mix of watermelon chunks, feta cheese, cucumber, a bit of basil, and a hint of lemon juice. Just make sure the watermelon you choose is firm enough. You can pick whichever texture you prefer, but the crispier the watermelon the better. You just mix them together and serve immediately. It’s easy to make and just fancy enough. It’s a perfect dish for a summer picnic or for a dinner party.

Fresh Spring Rolls

Spring rolls are a crisp and fresh dish that’s delicious year-round but are especially enjoyable during the summer! They look impressive but they’re surprisingly easy to make and very customizable. You can stuff them with your choice of meat and vegetables, but the one thing all spring rolls have in common is the fact that the shell is always made out of rice paper rolls. For a classic recipe, stuff them with vermicelli noodles, Thai basil, shrimp, and lettuce. You can make dipping sauce out of hoisin sauce, soy sauce, minced garlic, a bit of sugar, and chili sauce, or you can opt for store-bought sweet chili sauce as well.

Cucumber Gin Cocktail

Cucumbers are fresh and bright, making them a perfect ingredient for summer recipes. For a refreshing summer cocktail, pour two and a half ounces of gin and a half-ounce of vermouth over muddled cucumber. Mix together and pour over ice. You can garnish the drink with slices of cucumber. If you’re not a fan of gin, you can substitute it with vodka and make a similarly refreshing and delicious drink.

Key Lime Pie

Citrus is always great for summer and a no-bake key lime pie is an easy and delicious way to incorporate this classic flavor. Simply mix together a package of cream cheese with a can of condensed milk and a half cup of lime juice to create the filling and put it into a graham cracker pie crust. Then, refrigerate for four hours or until firm before serving. You can top with whipped cream and garnish with lime slices!
