Craft Beer Festivals This Fall That You Should Check Out
Although the fall is pretty clearly associated with Oktoberfest in the beer world, there are actually many incredible beer festivals that you can check out this fall. The ones listed here are all located in the United States, and
Oktoberfest in Leavenworth, Washington
This Bavarian-inspired town in the Pacific Northwest is the perfect home to an Oktoberfest that is as German as you can get (well, outside of Germany anyways!) This festival has been held in Leavenworth for many years but sadly the 2021 festival may be it’s last so if you want to check it out this is the year to do so. This festival is great for those who want to experience the culture of Oktoberfest as well as the beer and food that comes along with it.
Brewgrass Festival in Asheville, North Carolina
Ashville, North Carolina is the home of plenty of good breweries, and in October it is also home to a beer festival that combines bluegrass music and beer – thus the name, Brewgrass. Over 50 breweries attend in an average year so you’ll have plenty of options and varieties to try. Enjoy beer and great food while listening to music played on banjos, fiddles, and mandolins.
Elmhurst Craft Beer Fest in Elmhurst, Illinois
If you’re looking for a low-key but still incredible beer festival, check out the Elmhurst Craft Beer Fest. Although Illinois might not seem like the obvious choice for where to go for a beer festival, it features some of the best beer in the United States. This festival features over 50 breweries and microbreweries and even includes a competition element. The People’s Choice Best Brewer award is given out at the end of the festival and you can help decide who receives it!
Hudson River Craft Beer Festival in Beacon, New York
Located on the banks of the Hudson River in Beacon, New York, this craft beer festival allows you to sample some incredible brews while soaking in the warm-toned autumn views that the hills of New York provide. The annual event takes place in September – this year it’ll be on Saturday, September 18th. Stop by for a chance to sample beer from over 90 American breweries while you listen to live music and indulge in some incredible food from one of many vendors. If you love ciders, you’re in luck – this festival often features several varieties of cider to sample.
