Summer Bucket List
While summer might not have the same mystique it might have had when you were in school, the warmer months can still be fun and exciting and filled with new experiences! If you’re looking for a way to shake up your summer, create a bucket list. You can use our ideas below or come up with your own. No matter what, trying something new this summer is a great way to create memories and mix things up.
Pick berries at a farm.
For a low-cost outdoor activity, head to a berry farm and pick berries! You can eat them as they are or make a pie or pastry with them.
Attend an outdoor concert.
A lot of huge artists have outdoor concerts, but you might be able to find some shows featuring up-and-coming local artists as well. It’s fun to discover new music and who knows? Maybe the artist you see at one of these small outdoor shows might be the next big thing!
Host a picnic.
Whether you’re hosting in your backyard or your local park, it’s easy to host a picnic for you and your friends. Get a cute throw blanket, plates, silverware, cups, and your favorite foods, and invite your friends or a date for a great outdoor get-together.
See a movie at a drive-in theater.
Actual drive-in movie theaters that operate year-round aren’t as common as they once were, but you might be able to find a nearby pop-up drive-in theater.
Go to the library.
While the library might not seem all that exciting if you’re the kind of person who used to LOVE reading but you haven’t had the time to get lost in a book in years, a trip to the library with books that you are definitely going to read might be a perfect addition to your summer bucket list.
Be a local tourist.
If you’ve never been to that popular museum in your town or city, plan a day where you can go!
Clean out your closet.
Organizing is fun for some of us and it’s torture for others. Either way, it’s something that’s helpful and at times essential to do. Clear out your closet by getting rid of things that no longer fit or pieces you’re no longer excited about and donate them or sell them online. You’ll be able to curate your closet and make room for new clothes!
Learn a new language.
You definitely don’t need to become fluent in a new language, especially in one summer! But if you’ve always been meaning to learn a language whether it be for fun or to help you communicate with your older family members, make a goal to learn at least a few phrases in the language of your choice.
Visit your local farmers’ market.
Your local farmers’ market will have fresh fruit and vegetables as well as unique sauces, peppers, pastries, and more! Challenge yourself to make one meal only using ingredients you picked up at the farmer’s market.
